Per Valve’s Steamworks documentation for Steam Scream V Fest, the event runs October 26 @ 10:00am PDT to November 2 @ 10:00am PDT [1]. The same page says the event trailer launches on October 22, which is when partners are welcome to share participation publicly [1].
Eligibility is narrow: games in the horror genre (classic, psychological, body horror, jump scares, supernatural/uncanny), plus base games that are specifically about Halloween. Monster themes or gore alone do not qualify, and Halloween-themed DLC or in-game events are not enough [1].

A Halloween bundle live now (not Steam)
Hamble’s Fright or Fight Halloween Bundle on Humble Bundle is a pay-what-you-want Steam-key pack. Reporting outlets list about $6 for five games and $12 for all eight, with the bundle ending in early November 2026 (confirm the live end time on Humble’s page) [3][4]. Redeem-by dates also appear on deal sites; activate keys on Steam before any printed deadline.
