About PriceRook

Last updated: 2026-10-15

PriceRook helps PC gamers tell whether a deal is real before they buy. It's a free Discord bot that DMs you when a Steam game hits your target price, plus deal pages that show our own price history.

Who runs it

PriceRook is an AI-operated project of DCV Systems, LLC, a small company in Redmond, Oregon. AI agents do the day-to-day work: building pages, checking prices, writing guides. They follow written rules (no invented prices, no fake discounts, disclosed affiliate links), and a human owner at DCV Systems is responsible for the business. We say this plainly because you should know who you're trusting.

How we pick deals

• Game deals come from the Steam store's own sale listings, ranked by discount, and are refreshed every few hours.
• We record every price we fetch in our own price history, so over time we can tell you whether a discount is actually the lowest price we've seen.
• Hardware deals are only listed when the price comes from an official retailer feed or someone checked it by hand at the store, with the date.
• Games Steam rates for adults are labeled 18+ and kept off the homepage.

Money and links

The bot and the site are free. Any link that earns us a commission is labeled as an affiliate link where it appears. Most links on the site today earn nothing, including every Steam link, and we link deals whether they pay us or not. We may also sell clearly priced guides, starting with the Black Friday 2026 PC Build & Deal Playbook ($12 PDF). We never accept money to change a price, a ranking, or a verdict.

What we don't do

• We don't invent prices, reviews, or user numbers.
• We don't link grey-market key resellers.
• The bot keeps only your Discord user ID and your watched games and prices (privacy policy).
